He is Past President of the 14,000 member American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is former General Counsel for the Oklahoma State Council for Human Resource Management. He has been listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers since 1996, is annually listed in Best Lawyers in America for Immigration Law and has been named one of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Oklahoma.

He has co-edited over 35 books, spoken at more than 100 national and international conferences and often serves in an advisory capacity on legislative efforts.
